In an exciting development, Mintable, a Singapore-based NFT marketplace, has announced an intriguing initiative as part of Singapore’s annual Youth4Climate Festival 2025. The festival is a prominent event held under the umbrella of the Singapore Sustainability Festival.
First-Ever Interactive Eco Trail Treasure Hunt
As part of an interactive venture, the Eco Trail Treasure Hunt, Mintable plans to introduce Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collectibles. Festival visitors will have the opportunity to gather the NFTs by participating in a card game leveraging blockchain technology. Organized at the City Square Mall on Kitchener Road, Singapore, this innovative Eco Adventure Card Game aligns with the Singapore Sustainability Festival, set from June 6 to June 8.
Collecting Digital Badges the Sustainable Way
During the course of the festival, attendees can collect digital badges by exploring the mall’s eco-friendly installations and completing miniature sustainability lessons. Achieving these goals will allow them to accumulate five unique NFT collectibles, known as Green Stop NFTs, even without pre-existing knowledge about web3 technology.
Partnering for Sustainability
In collaboration with City Developments Limited, the Singapore Innovation Centre, the Asia Blockchain Association, and the Sustainability Alliance, Mintable’s B2B utility NFT sector, Mintology, will facilitate the Eco Adventure Card Game. The company utilizes the project’s gasless NFT structure.
An Opportunity for Youth Engagement and Learning
Speaking about the joint initiative, Mintable CEO Zach Burks views the collaboration with Go Green SG as a great avenue to attract youth and incite their interest in sustainability. Apart from this, the program aims to acquaint them with web3 technology, including NFTs, striking a balance and fostering positive attitudes towards digital innovation.
“We are motivated by the potential of our gasless minting technology embedded within the treasure hunt. Our focus remains on continued collaboration with key government bodies to devise future solutions which will allow individuals to better interact with their surroundings,” noted Burks.
Sustainability Lessons and NFT
The mini sustainability lessons address subjects such as upcycling workshops, exploring materials, tree importance, and the societal impact of visually upcycled art. Designed to be kid-friendly and interactive, these lessons blend Mintable’s web3 technology with tangible engagement.
Upon gathering all five NFTs, participants can enter the festival’s lucky draw to win various prizes. The collaborative project is a demonstration of integrating NFTs with government-backed green initiatives while promoting the adoption of web3 technology.
Cryptocurrency Ownership in Singapore
In stark contrast to these developments, the Independent Reserve Cryptocurrency Index 2025 reveals an 11% drop in crypto ownership in Singapore. In a recent survey conducted by Independent Reserve Singapore, it was discovered that nearly half of the crypto investors sold their holdings in the previous year, with a profit realized by 67% of those who sold.
